Geneve is our Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer (CMIO) as well as Executive Legal Products Director. Geneve was a partner at Holland & Knight LLP before joining DLA Piper as an equity partner. In the past 15 plus years, she traveled around the globe helping businesses from Asia and the U.S. to navigate the complexity of cross-border investments and transactions.
But prior to becoming a lawyer, Geneve worked as a business analyst and system engineer at EDS and was also a marketing and product manager at a large telecommunication company. Her in-depth experiences in both legal and technology industries domestically and globally gives her the vision and understanding as to how to create an innovative technology platform that brings together, trains and coordinates lawyers from different type of firms and clients of all sizes, locations and needs.
The key in making SeedJura a one-of-a-kind legal technology platform is Geneve's ability and leadership in: (1) analyzing and dissecting the legal processes, (2) reassembling them into useful legal products and services with technology, (3) bridging the communications gap among lawyers, businesses, and technologists, (4) understanding user adaptability challenges and approaches, (5) designing and implementing processes and technology step by step, and (6) humanizing technology.
"The problem with legal technologies (or even many technologies) today is that most of them are built by technologists with very little knowledge and expericences in legal processes. It is like hoping to win a race with a race car built by someone who doesn't even know how to drive. Technology is not just about hardware and software, but most importantly, it is about incorporating repeatable and adaptable processes with human interaction," said Geneve.
